Dear CRCAG Members,
On January 27th in Calgary and January 28th in Cochrane, Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development and Alberta Transportation are hosting open houses to give Albertans a chance to learn more about the proposed Springbank Off-Stream Reservoir.
As with any public engagement you need to attend and show that there is support for the Springbank Off-Stream Reservoir. As members we would encourage you to attend one of the open houses to show your support for the project. These open houses are part of a public engagement process for the project and it is important that those who support the Springbank Off-Stream Reservoir are present.
This is a great opportunity to see the flood mitigation plan proposed by the government to protect Calgary. We understand there will be no formal talk. Instead, drop in and you’ll be able to walk among various poster boards, and direct your questions to the government and Stantec staff present.
You should make an effort to attend one of these meetings. Encourage your neighbours too. Not only is it a good chance to learn about mitigation efforts, but as with any public engagement, it is important that your voice is heard in support of this mitigation plan.
