NRCB hearing day 2: CRCAG/FFC expected to appear this morning

Calgary River Communities Action Group, alongside Flood Free Calgary, is expected to take the stand as early as 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Tune into the livestream here. On Monday, the first Alberta Transportation witness panel took the stand and was cross-examined by counsel for the Stoney Nakota Nations and the Springbank Concerned Landowners Group (SCLG). Draft Environmental Assessment Report for SR1 issued — a key milestone for the federal regulatory review

The Impact Assessment Agency (IAA) of Canada issued the draft Environmental Assessment Report (EAR) and potential draft conditions for SR1 on January 4, 2021. The Report concludes that, taking into account the implementation of the key mitigation and follow-up program measures, SR1 is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. The province has solicited public feedback on the maps and the deadline is this FRIDAY, January 15.
