On Tuesday March 3, 2015 Directors of CRCAG met with the City of Calgary Flood Resiliency Group. Adam Legge from the Calgary Chamber of Commerce was invited on behalf of CRCAG to attend as well. CRCAG representatives were present at the Water Collaborative held on Feb 11, 2015. The detailed environment review ESRD request AMEC to perform for the McLean Creek Dam (MC1) was presented. Elbow River Flood Mitigation Infrastructure – Update

The Government of Alberta (GOA)  yesterday (Feb 26, 2015) released the Benefit-Cost Analyses of the three proposed Elbow River upstream flood mitigation projects presently under consideration by the GOA, and the Provincial Flood Damage Assessment Study upon which the benefit-cost analyses were based.  Completion of these studies is an important step toward having flood mitigation infrastructure in place to protect both Calgary and Bragg Creek.   In short, the benefit-cost analyses […]

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Disaster Recovery Program (DRP) Status Survey in December. We had respondents that were impacted by the Bow, Elbow and High Rivers. Respondents were from Calgary, Bragg Creek, High River, Exshaw and the Kananaskis.   Not surprisingly, the survey results tell a story of continuing frustration, mental exhaustion and stress resulting from the DRP process.
