“The projects your government has already announced will be built…”

…and CRCAG intends to keep this government to its word.

This week in Edmonton, on behalf of Premier Rachel Notley’s government, Lieutenant Governor Lois Mitchell delivered the Speech from the Throne.

The speech addressed many themes including the recent economic downturn, diversifying our economy, working with Indigenous people, inequality issues, the opiod crisis, and more.

Notably, the government’s commitment to planned infrastructure projects was reiterated; a commitment CRCAG plans to hold the provincial government to, with respect to the Springbank Off-Stream Reservoir (SR1).

“…make no mistake, unlike previous years where infrastructure announcements were made in front of empty fields that would remain empty indefinitely, the projects your government has already announced will be built.”
