Tony Morris, K.C., Co-president
Tony Morris KC was a founding member of CRCAG in July 2013, and has been its Co-President since October 2014 with the incredible Brenda Leeds Binder KC. Together with its tireless Board and wonderful membership, they have advocated for sensible flood mitigation infrastructure and policies to protect Calgary and southern Alberta from the next inevitable flood. Tony, now retired, practiced law with leading Calgary and national firms for 32 years. He’s lived with his wife and three sons in Rideau-Roxboro since 2004 and continues to advocate for his community on a range of important issues to his neighbours.

Brenda Leeds Binder, K.C., Co-president
Born and raised in Calgary, Brenda has ventured beyond the city at times, but her heart has always brought her home. Together with her husband Bob, she has raised their three children in the vibrant community of Elbow Park. Brenda is a seasoned legal advocate with a distinguished career spanning several decades, specializing in energy law, intellectual property, and complex contractual matters. Equally dedicated to civic life, Brenda has devoted countless volunteer hours to causes close to her heart, including the Calgary River Communities Action Group (CRCAG), local minor hockey associations, and initiatives within Elbow Park. Her enduring commitment to both her profession and her community reflects her belief in the power of service and the strength of connection.
Anna Mravcak, Treasurer
Anna is a passionate advocate for flood protection and a long-time resident of Elbow Park/Mount Royal with her family. As Treasurer of the Calgary River Communities Action Group (CRCAG) since 2013, she brings over 20 years of industry experience and a strong commitment to protecting our city and its residents. Anna and her husband and their two children have lived in the community for 15 years and were impacted by the flooding of 2013.
Steve Forrest
Steve Forrest, B.Comm. MBA. Rideau Park homeowner born and raised Calgarian, with many family members also affected by the both the 2013 and 2005 floods. Committed to ensuring our communities and downtown Calgary are protected from future floods. Over twenty years of working in the Calgary oil industry.
Greg Johnson
Greg is a lifelong has lived in Calgary since 1972 Calgarian and is a resident of Roxboro, where he has seen firsthand the importance of flood protection. As a Chartered Professional Accountant and partner at Bennett Jones LLP (specializing in corporate tax, reorganizations, and M&A), Greg has contributed his financial expertise to CRCAG’s mission since 2015.
Charlie Lund
Charlie Lund has lived in Sunnyside since 2005 and was impacted by the 2013 flood. Representing the Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Association he has led their advocacy for improved local flood mitigation infrastructure in the communities of Hillhurst and Sunnyside. Charlie has joined the CRCAG board as its focus shifts to emphasize flood mitigation upstream on the Bow River. He is now retired after a long career in the petroleum products industry.

David Chalack
Dr. David Chalack is a veterinarian whose career has moved from veterinary practice to executive management and consulting. The One Health Initiative is the foundation from which his professional career is crafted—this dependent relationship linking the environment, animal health and human health as it relates to sustainable growth. He is a widely respected expert in the meat and livestock industry with particular interests in sustainable practices and in how the industry uses land and water. He is currently the international sales manager for Alta Genetics Inc., a job that has taken him to South America, Australia, Asia, and Europe, as well as across Canada. He is also the president and part owner of Rocky Mountain Holsteins, Inc., Dr. Chalack has been a longtime volunteer and board member for the Calgary Stampede and was President and Chairman of the Board from 2009-2011. As recognition for his 30 years spent advancing Canadian agriculture domestically and internationally, Dr. Chalack was inducted into the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame.
