What’s happening this week with Springbank?

May 9, 2016 by CRC Action Group in News

Public consultation for the Environmental Impact Assessment – Important Information Sessions.

You should attend, complete a comment card and ensure your support for this important project is recorded.

This is a reminder of the two public information sessions being held by the province this week as part of the public consultation required for the EIA.

What can you do?

  • Show up in person at a session.  They are drop-in format, so you may attend at any time during the three-hour window.
  • Learn more about the Springbank project.
  • Complete a comment card before you leave – this is important to document your support for this project.

Why support the Springbank project?

The Springbank Off-stream Reservoir Project is the most cost effective and timely infrastructure project for the Elbow River with the least environmental impact.  For more information on why, read the Deltares report commissioned by the province in 2015, see http://aep.alberta.ca/water/programs-and-services/flood-mitigation/flood-mitigation-projects/documents/DeltaresSpringbankMcLeanReview-Oct2015.pdf
