February 3, 2015 by CRC Action Group in Calgary River Communities, News

The City of Calgary and Canadian Red Cross (CRC) are working together to help those still in need following the June 2013 flood. A flood grant permit program was created to help residential property owners that have reached their financial limits, pay for City permits to make repairs to their flood damaged property. The grant covers the costs associated with new permit(s) applications that are required to repair, restore or rebuild a property safely. Up to $7,000 in permit fees, per residential property, is available for those who qualify for the program. The pilot program officially began on May 1, 2014, and will run until December 31, 2015.
