CRCAG requests Bow River Working Group report be made public

July 27, 2017 by CRC Action Group in News

Update: This report was made public on August 11, 2017 and can be accessed here.

Earlier this year, the Bow River Working Group completed their report on flood mitigation opportunities in the upper Bow Basin. The final report was submitted to the provincial government on May 18, 2017 and directed to the Minister of Environment and Parks.

The report has not yet been made public.

We’ve reached out to the Honourable Minister Shannon Philips, Minister of Environment and Parks and the Minister Responsible for the Climate Change Office, MLA for Lethbridge-West, requesting that she make this report public.

We’ve also requested to meet with her and the Premier to discuss concerns for prompt government action on flood mitigation for both rivers that flow through Calgary.

Read our full letter to Minister Phillips here.

For our Bow River members, we continue to hear your concerns about wanting to know what has been going on with respect to the Bow, and we will continue to update you as we receive new information.

We’re always listening. If you have a question or concern for us, email info@crcactiongroup.com.

Regards,

Your CRCAG Board
