A quick note to our membership from the CRCAG board regarding some recent headlines. 

CRCAG did receive a letter from Don’t Dam Springbank and Tsuut’ina Nation addressed to us, the Mayor and MLA Greg Clark. 

CRCAG is a volunteer run community group with a limited mandate. Politicians have responded to this letter. We have not and we will not. 

We understand from a meeting between two of our Board members and Chief Crowchild that Tsuut’ina Nation has concerns regarding the Springbank Diversion Project. 

These are not matters for CRCAG to resolve and we trust the proponent of the project and other levels of government will continue to engage Chief Crowchild, Tsuut’ina and other interested parties as needed. 

CRCAG believes the science and studies will continue to demonstrate that the Springbank Diversion is the best first major flood mitigation project to pursue.
